Why do things change?

We watched ‘Sid the Scientist’ and he was experimenting with water and ice.

Room 16 thought that it would be fun if we could do that too!

Take a look at what we did!

 1.       We put water into some bowls. For fun we thought that we would add some dinosaurs.

2.     We took the bowls over to the school freezers.

3.    After waiting one whole day we took the bowls out of the freezer. The water had changed to ice.

4.    We discovered that when water is made really cold it changes to ice.

5.     We discovered that hot air can melt the ice.

6.    We discovered that pouring cold water onto ice can melt it. But we discovered that pouring warm water over the ice, melts it quicker.

It was fun experimenting with ice on a hot day!!
