Ruben Comes to the Junior School!

What a week 5! Busy busy!

We have been talking about Safe Walking with Constable Jo.

We visited the traffic lights at Wairere Drive and talked about being safe at the crossing.
We learnt to:

1. Wait behind the white line
2. Let a grown up push the button
3. Wait for a grown up to say "Cross now!"

Sometimes cars and trucks don't stop at the red lights! We have to make sure that they do before we cross -even if the green man says to cross!

We also practiced walking across the pedestrian crossing. We have to Stop! Look! Listen and link!

Watch out for those sneaky driveways!

Remember to walk on the house side of the footpath!

Get wise
On Thursday we had another visitor to our class - we had Michele from the ASB bank. Did you know she is actually a 'Super hero'?
Room 16 are now cash super heroes too!

Michele taught us about 'needs' and 'wants'.
 We learnt: "Speed to your needs but wait for your wants."
