Keeping Safe at the traffic lights on Wairere Drive

Keeping Safe at the traffic lights on Wairere Drive

Constable Amy, Mrs Lelievield and the road patrollers, helped us to walk safely at the traffic lights.
Constable Amy said that we must not walk when the light (with the person) is red. We must wait for the man to turn green, and for the road patrollers to yell “Cross now!”

We must remember to:
‘Stop! Look! Listen and link hands with an adult.’
We must remember to keep looking as we walk across the road.

This is Constable Amy.

Here we are stopping back behind the line to wait.

Can you see us?  -We Stop! Look! Listen and link hands!

Here we are still looking as we cross the road.

Now on the other side we walk on the house side of the footpath.

On the footpath we check for sneaky driveways.

Thank you Constable Amy and Mrs Lelieveld for helping us with our Safe Walking!
