Making Butter
Do you know how to make butter?
Room 16 made butter. Have a look at what we did!

| We used cream and glass jars with a marble in them. We poured the cream into each jar. We used three jars so everyone could get a turn. |

| Mrs Johnstone made sure the lids were on tightly and then we shook the jars. |

| ...we shook some more and then the cream became hard to move... |

| ...the cream became butter and this milky stuff called whey! |

The Dairy Farm
Before we visited the farm we brainstormed what we knew:
It was exciting going on the bus! Thankyou Dairy NZ for paying for us to go!
What a fabulous day we had at the farm!
